Metro Manila’s bustling cosmopolitan boasts structures of all kinds – from gigantic malls to residential high-rises to corporate towers, there’s no denying the Western influence in the country. Of course, being a Catholic country, one cannot miss the grand church structures amidst all these commercial entities. This is essential especially when planning your wedding, as the church will serve as the main setting of one of the most important days of your life. To help you in planning, here are four churches that are as undeniably picturesque as they are sacred.

St. Andrew the Apostle Parish

Location: Bel-air, Makati

A gem in Bel-air, the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish boasts an ultra-modern silhouette and interior. Its futuristic design is a first in the local church scene.

St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish

Location: Magallanes, Makati

The St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish is a grand architectural masterpiece inside and out and is definitely one of its kind here in the Philippines. The symmetrical curves and rows of clear glass transport you into a completely different realm – and make for really amazing photos.

Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus

Location: Newport Boulevard, Pasay City

A more colorful option, the Shrine of St. Therese Columbarium combines contemporary hues with traditional church interiors – multiple stained glasses and the church’s thematic orange and blue greet you on the way to saying “I do”.

Church of the Gesu

Location: Ateneo de Manila Campus, Quezon City

An iconic structure in the Ateneo de Manila campus, the Church of the Gesu’s design reflects the modern-day approach to religion that the university believes in. The clean lines and minimalist, white interiors work together for a prim and pristine ceremony setting.
