The increasing number of degrees in the weather forecast and the scorching humidity aren’t lying – summer is definitely here. As our way of embracing it, we’re giving you a peek at a rosy yet elegant beach wedding, held last January in our beautiful Boracay.
Hannah and Liam’s love story isn’t your usual. It was Hannah who approached Liam at a bar in Budapest – the result of a drunken dare from her friends to prove a feminist point. Five years later – and multiple cities in between – here they are as man and wife. Their wedding was a reflection of the unconventionality of their relationship. It’s pretty in all the right places, but contains little details that show the personalities of the couple.
Their wedding invite was a custom design by Hannah’s maid of honor Corrine Serrano, who’s also the founder of And a Half Design Studios.
Fun fact: Both groom and bride have swallow tattoos, which they got even before they met.
However, like all other couples, not everything was a perfect match between them. When the two met, Liam was completely emo. Hannah, on the other hand, is a true blue fashion girl. Over the course of their relationship, Hannah injected her sense of style and turned Liam into the dapper man that he is. Both the man-of-honor and best man mentioned this in their speeches, calling Liam’s fashion overhaul the best example of compromise in a relationship.
On their wedding day, the groom decided to go with diamond-encrusted skull cufflinks – as a quirky ode to his old self.
The bride chose block-heeled, Prada mary janes with red trims.
Another unconventionally interesting element in this wedding was that the bride had both a man of honor and a maid of honor.
Hannah’s gown, by the ever-talented Vania Romoff, had a sculpted low cut halter style, with an asymmetrical bow detail in the back as the only accessory.
The beautiful female entourage wore flowy, rose-hued dresses that contained just the right amount of frills, accessorised by straw hats.
The table setting, by Teddy Manuel, donned an elegant combination of white blooms and tropical plants.
