But with so many options out there, it’s easy to get confused. WE’ve spoken top wedding food specialists for their advice, born from years of experience and hundreds of weddings among them.
What to consider when choosing a reception menu?
“ Your wedding theme is a great basis for composing a menu. Don’t put together random items just because they might look good with the theme. Your menu should make sense as a whole, with flow, progression, and balance. “
– Chef Myke Sarthou of Chef Tatung’s Café
What other things should they consider?
“ Venue. If your menu is interactive (i.e., a salad bar, gourmet pasta bar), opt for an indoor venue. Receptions that have menus featuring grilled food or on-the- spot cooking should be held in garden or outdoor venue.”
-Chef Fresh Versoza of Josiah’s Catering
A piece of advice when choosing packages.
“It is worth noting that some of the guests may have a sensitive palate and are not as adventurous as you. Best to keep your wedding menu flexible and consider alternative and safer food options.
